Q: What is the most important thing in your life and why?

A: The most important thing in my life is my personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This is so important to me because everything that I do in my life is centered on Him. He gives me strength to get through everyday and He has blessed me with the ability to play sports! I just want Him to smile when He thinks of me!

Q: How does your perception of softball/athletics differ now than prior to becoming a Christian?

A: I have been a Christian for the majority of my athletic career. Something that I have learned throughout the years is that it doesn't matter how I perform everyday and if my coach is upset with me but what matters is if I go all out everyday on the field for God. I know that God delights in me and that is what keeps me going!

Q: What has God taught you through CEI?

A: God has taught me how to relax and have fun playing the sport that He has gifted me in. It is easy to forget about fun while playing for a very competitive Division I University.

Q: In what way were you surprised when you went to Mexico?

A: I was surprised at how quickly I fell in love with the Mexican people. I remember when we first got there seeing a little girl and boy. I just wanted to talk to them. I was also surprised at how giving the Mexicans were. They were a total and complete blessing and I am definitely praying about going back again.

Q: How have you seen God supply your needs through your college days?

A: God has been so faithful to me through my college days starting from the very beginning. Before I found out if I made the team I was commuting from my parents house 30 minutes away with one of their cars. I knew that if I made the team I would have to move to Lafayette because of practices and it would just be easier all the way around. After I found out that I would be a lady Cajun, I was talking to a fellow Christian and it turned out that she needed a roommate. The price was just right. The next thing I needed was a vehicle. So the search began and soon after God supplied a car for me that was in great shape and I had saved enough money up over the summer to purchase it on my own. So from the beginning God has been providing for me. If it is His will then He will supply all of our needs!
