What she does for CEI: Julie invites, accepts, places and prepares team members to serve the Lord through CEI's Int'l Sports Ministry Teams. While overseas, she leads worship and disciples team members. Julie also enjoys developing Team Disciplers, designing CEI's website and brochures and coaching others in maximizing their God-given Strengths.
What she’s passionate about: Coffee! Praise & Worship! Meeting with the Living Word through the Written Word...and taking Him to the unreached! Sports! Life purpose! Deep and meaningful relationships! Cultivating and maximizing potential in others!
Favorite TV shows: College Football, HGTV and DIY Network, NCIS
Hobbies: Gardening. Photography. Adding color to walls. Watching college football. Observing people.

What she does for CEI: Various administrative tasks, international team leader and anything that I can do to help CEI's staff!
Family: I met my husband-to-be, Dave Gordon, at age 7 when my family moved into a house two doors from his. We had our first “date” at age 14, engaged at age 19, and married at age 20. For as long as I can remember I only wanted to be Mrs. Dave E Gordon, I’m living a dream! Dave and I have two precious young men. Ross is 17 and Calvin is 14. It never ceases to amaze me how much the Lord has taught me and continues to teach me from being their mom!
What she’s passionate about: Life, family, deep, meaningful relationships, and most of all parntering with this team to proclaim Christ and His love to all the earth!
What makes her laugh: My boys, my husband, life, and the incredibly silly things I do everyday make me laugh a lot, but I think you can laugh at just about anything if you have the right perspective!
Favorite sports: tennis, basketball (Go Spurs!), baseball (Go Cubs!), softball, and football (Go Colts and Bears!)

What she does for CEI: Kathy is responsible for the overall ministry with CEI. Her heart is that all that is done through CEI reflects the heart of the Lord. She manages, plans, accounts, strategizes and problem solves as she leads the ministry and manages the day to day operations of CEI. She also serves as the team leader on overseas teams.
What she's passionate about: family, knowing and following the Lord more and more every day, reading, coffee
Her favorite things: drinking coffee, reading life giving books like the Normal Christian Life, watching sports--especially football, spending time with family and friends, playing racquetball

Int'l Teams & Recruiting Coordinator
Five ways to describe her: engaging laid-back spirit, loyal to the end, authentic to the core, welcoming friend, loves to laugh at herself.
What she does for CEI: Loren focuses her time with CEI on recruiting and leading teams. She invites and equips athletes and coaches to serve overseas. With every opportunity she has had to lead or disciple teams, she especially enjoys caring for and shepherding team members.
What she's passionate about: Loren is passionate about people and Jesus, helping others connect and relate to Jesus in new and intimate ways, finding creative ways to reveal the relevancy and aliveness of God's word through her writing. Celebrating! Laughing! crying! Growing! Rest! Sharing Life! Community! And exclamation points!!
Hobbies: Drinking chai (it just makes life better). Dancing to the beat of hip-hop. Eating (usually salads and almost always with feta). Listening to life-giving music. Writing. Colorful journaling of what God is saying. Worshiping. Coaching young girls how to pitch. Spending time with friends and family. Staying active and healthy.

Leadership Development Coordinator
Five ways to describe her: Wendy gets excited about trying new things; she is a pioneer and an entrepreneur. She is a dreamer and is motivated by what we can do in the future! She gets a little bored with details. She cares about people and loves to see people develop into the leaders God created them to be.
What she does for CEI: Wendy oversees leadership development for CEI, which involves training leaders for CEI's short-term teams. She has lead several of our teams and assists with training, set-up and preparation for our mission trips.
Family: Wendy is married to Rik Yantis, who teaches middle school science and has traveled as a leader with Wendy on two CEI summer teams. They have two sons: Ben, 16, and Andrew, 14.
What she’s passionate about: Wendy loves training leaders and is passionate about raising up young women to lead CEI teams and serve on the mission field. Wendy is also passionate about dark roast coffee made strong and God’s Word. When those two things come together each morning, it’s beautiful.
Previously in life: Wendy served on staff with Athletes in Action and started the AIA softball teams in 1984. From 1990-2005, she was on staff with two churches in Southern California (youth ministry and leadership development). Wendy and her family moved to Colorado in 2005 and after leading a CEI team in 2006, she joined CEI staff.
Her favorite things: Baseball, specifically the St. Louis Cardinals, hiking, the Colorado mountains, wild and intense worship, watching her boys grow up, hanging out with friends, coffee and cilantro hummus and University of Missouri football!
Hobbies: Hiking around Colorado. Exploring the mountains by hiking and/or snowshoeing.
